This paper discusses the peace process between the Turkish government and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and the threats facing it. The author contends that despite a mutual commitment to a political solution to the conflict, the peace process is at risk of failure due to, among other things, 1) potential rifts within the PKK leadership; 2) the threat of ISIS on the Turkish border; and 3) possible developments during Turkey's general elections due to take place in June 2015.
