This paper reports on the main points of a conference on sovereign debt restructuring (SDR) frameworks. Among other issues, the conference focused on 1) the implications of Argentina's sovereign debt restructuring and litigation for the world's financial architecture; 2) the international debate over the potential reform of the IMF Lending Framework, including the positions of the IMF and the UN; and 3) whether the private contractual approach can provide and efficient solution to the challenges facing SDR.
