This report provides an overview of the key issues raised at the 2014 Senior Conference on the global strategic environment and its implications for the national security role of the US Army. Among other issues, the conference focused on 1) the role of landpower in the contemporary global security environment; 2) how the US can maintain its global influence, including the Army's role in achieving this goal; 3) the implications of budgetary reduction for the US Army; and 4) the capabilities the US Army needs to deal with the challenges of the future.
