This paper bemoans the lack of effective national dialogue for reconciliation in Libya following the country's 2011 civil war. The author, among other issues, explores 1) why a national dialogue for reconciliation is so important for Libya; 2) why dialogue has failed so far; 3) government actions which have impeded or not supported reconciliation efforts; and 4) the role of the international community in promoting the country's reconciliation process.
