Following the G20 leaders meeting in Brisbane in 2014, this paper examines the international financial regulatory regime and discusses the additional work that policy makers and regulators should focus on in 2015. The author provides an overview of the G20s internationally harmonized regulatory framework and outlines additional measures which should be taken in areas in which there is currently insufficient cooperation within the global community. Those include clear operational guidelines for what additional functions the recently established macro prudential regulators need to take on.
