This book examines Brazilian-NATO relations and how they might yield greater peace and security in the future. More specifically, the text examines 1) the roles played by NATO and Brazil as international security actors; 2) their approaches to armed intervention; 3) their policies toward the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD); 4) the part NATO could play in providing security in the South Atlantic; and 5) the mutual interests Brazil and NATO have in strengthening their security ties.
