This is a transcript of an interview with Professor Loet Leydesdorff from the University of Amsterdam, on his approach to understanding the relationship between science, technology, and society. Among other issues, he discusses his conception of the “Triple Helix” of relations between universities, industry and governments, the system of production, wealth generation and normative control they form and what this conception reveals about systems of innovation.
