This paper examines Germany’s policy towards Russian involvement in the conflict in eastern Ukraine and view on how to resolve it as well as how Berlin’s efforts to resolve the conflict have affected its view of Moscow. The authors also explore public opinion in Germany on Berlin’s involvement in attempting to resolve the conflict in eastern Ukraine and sanctions against Russia as well as what aims Berlin has for the negotiation process between Kyiv and Moscow.
