This bulletin discusses China's policies towards its neighbors and contends that Beijing is maintaining an approach that simultaneously offers economic assistance and assurances of peace, while also using military and economic coercion to further its interests. The author looks at the implications of China's regional policy for the EU and provides recommendations on what approach the Union should adopt towards Beijing.
