This bulletin analyzes how the new US National Security Strategy of February 2015 could affect Washington's security policy in Europe. In general, the authors argue that due to Russia's actions in Ukraine in 2014, the US is ready to temporarily increase its military presence in Europe. However, they also predict that the US will rely increasingly on NATO's capacity to deal with European security challenges in the long run. Finally, they discuss how Poland should respond to the National Security Strategy.
