This issue of the CAD examines the limited political roles women play in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. More specifically, the issue’s three articles look at 1) the under-representation of women in Georgian political affairs; 2) the roles women play in Azerbaijani politics; and 3) the institutional and cultural factors that hinder the participation of women in Armenia’s political life. In exploring these topics, the CAD also includes charts and statistics that illustrate the gender imbalances that presently exist.
