This paper analyzes Russian politics in the post-communist era. The author examines the political events following the fall of the Soviet Union from a philosophical and theoretical point of view and also illustrates the political differences between the Yeltsin and Putin presidencies. The author describes the post-communist era in Russia as a paradox "time out of time."
