This report looks at the geopolitical and economic factors that are currently shaping Iranian-Pakistani relations. Some of the current stress points between the two nations include 1) the Sunni-Shi'a divide; 2) Iran’s concerns over border security; and 3) Tehran's and Islamabad’s conflicting ties with Afghanistan, India, the United States and Saudi Arabia.
