This paper discusses the involvement of civil society organizations (CSOs) in Serbia’s EU integration process, something which is required of countries attempting to join the EU. The authors first look at the country’s three main networks of CSOs: the National Convention on the EU, Sectoral Civil Society Organizations and the prEUgovor Coalition. They then draw lessons from Serbia’s experience with CSOs for other EU candidates and the donor community.
