This bulletin discusses Serbia’s relations with Russia and the EU following the change in the international situation brought about by Moscow’s actions in Ukraine in 2014. The author contends that neither the start of integration negotiations with the EU nor the Ukrainian crisis have loosened Serbia’s close ties with Russia. However, he also suggests that despite this, integration with the EU remains a priority for the government in Belgrade and that Serbia’s aim in its foreign policy is to maintain an equal distance between Brussels and Moscow. Finally, he provides recommendations for the EU on what policy to adopt towards Serbia.
