This bulletin discusses the implications of Poland’s decision to choose the H225M Caracal helicopter to replace its aging post-Soviet helicopter fleet - which requires support from Russian providers - for the country’s economy, security and defense industry. The author also discusses the impact that the selection of the helicopter system could have on Poland's relations with France (whose Airbus Helicopters will provide the new vehicle) and NATO.
