This paper examines the effectiveness of African national systems and the International Criminal Court (ICC) in delivering post-conflict justice as well as the African Union’s activities in the area of justice and reconciliation. The authors also examine how these institutions, countries affected by wars, and the EU could improve their approach to post-conflict justice.
