This paper discusses how the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) being negotiated between US and the EU could affect countries not party to the agreement. In general, the author contends that these third party countries, which include both developing nations and Western states, are concerned that the agreement could lead to decreases in their levels of trade with the US and the EU. To alleviate these concerns, the author suggests that the US and the EU give other countries the opportunity to join the agreement.
