This paper looks at the EU's approach to its Eastern neighborhood and whether it can help make the region more secure, more prosperous and more comparable with the norms of the Union. In general, the author argues that the EU does not have the right approach and that it should adopt a more robust and demanding policy, which would involve the EU not compromising on its demands for reform in the countries of Eastern Europe countries Eurasia.
