This paper examines how power structures impact social relations in academia. The study highlights the dangers of academic "friendly-fascism" and details discriminatory practices that need to be addressed. The author concludes that "friendly-fascism" in academia allows tyranny to pass for enlightenment and chicanery for tolerance. The paper emphasizes the need for society to demand accountability and ethics from its educational institutions.
