This paper summarizes ISIS-related activities during the March-May 2015 reporting period and assesses ISIS’ strategy of pursuing simultaneous campaigns to meet its objective of territorial expansion. More specifically, the paper examines the geographical regions in which ISIS carries out these parallel campaigns, which include 1) the “interior” ring composed of Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Syria, 2) the “near abroad” stretching from Morocco to Pakistan, and 3) the “far abroad” comprising the wider world and including cyberspace. It then discusses the key operations and objectives in each of these geographical areas and forecasts ISIS' next most likely moves.
