This report summarizes the results of a conference assessing the Canadian 3-D approach in Afghanistan. The Centre for International Governance Innovation (GIGI), the Laurier Centre for Military Strategic and Disarmament Studies (LCMSDS), the Centre on Foreign Policy and Federalism (CFPF) and the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) hosted this conference in order to examine the effectiveness of Canada's coordinated efforts on defense, development and diplomacy in Afghanistan (the "3D" approach), with a particular focus on the Canadian Forces.
