This paper discusses the ontological failure of liberalism in the world politics. The authors compare social being based on a Hobbes' fear of the other reinforced by a commitment to Lock's private property for the self. The paper proposes an alternative social ontology and labels it "Worldism." The authors conclude that Worldism does not seek to overthrow the liberal social ontology but rather shows how it operates in relation to other traditions and legacies.
