This issue includes articles on 1) discussions on the crises in South Sudan and Burundi at the June 2015 AU Peace and Security Council meeting; 2) the implications for the AU of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir attending the June 2015 AU summit despite an arrest warrant issued against him by the ICC; and 3) the future of the African Capacity for Immediate Response to Crises, which is supposed to provide the AU with a rapid military response force to help stop emerging genocides and crimes against humanity. The paper also includes an interview with AU Commissioner for Social Affairs Mustapha Sidiki Kaloko on migration issues.
