This paper argues that since NATO-EU interests and policies in Africa are often similar and sometimes even overlap, the two organizations should increase their cooperation with each other on the continent. In order to support of this stand, the report's author 1) highlights the inefficiencies that duplicated and uncoordinated programs have wrought, and 2) identifies what can be done to avoid these problems, although he also acknowledges that increased cooperation does have its downsides.
