This report argues that the varying quality of education available to the children of US soldiers could impact the Army's ability to retain its troops, particularly since the latter expect family care, including education, to be part of their overall compensation package. The report’s author also looks at 1) the impact poor educational systems could have on communities that are economically dependent on the military, and 2) what the former must do to improve their educational standards.
