This paper discusses the international crisis over North Korea's nuclear program. The author details how several internationals efforts to limit the proliferation of nuclear weapons, including IAEA measures to control nuclear proliferation, were not and could not be sufficiently applied on the North Korean nuclear issue. The paper analyzes the North Korean nuclear claims of nuclear weapons capabilities, by attempting to outline the North Korean capability to produce sufficient amounts of fissile material.
