This paper examines effective strategies for achieving the Millennium Development Goals of the UN General Assembly for Africa. The author explains the level of resources needed to achieve the Millennium Development Goals as well as the wide support required from the international community. The paper emphasizes the importance of "scaling up" development efforts and the need to focus on issues related to the quality and quantity of development assistance.
