This bulletin discusses UN's post-2015 development agenda as well as what it means for the EU. Among other issues, the author touches upon 1) the performance of the development agenda defined by the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); 2) how the new development agenda, defined by the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs), better reflects the international system and is based on belief that poverty eradication and sustainable development are mutually reinforcing and intrinsically linked; 3) what the new agenda means for the financing of development; 4) some of the main obstacles that will face the SGDs; 5) the role of the EU in the setting of the agenda, including the SGDs focus on climate change; and 5) the opportunities and challenges the SGDs present to Poland.
