This paper assesses the diplomatic conflict between the government in Baghdad the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG). The authors use Poland's experience of encountering blockages when trying to engage with the KRG as an example of how the ongoing Baghdad-Erbil conflict has impacted international diplomatic relations of both authories. However, the authors also observe that policies under Iraq's new prime minister al-Abadi are reversing the damage created by former Prime Minister Maliki, and relations with the Kurds are starting to improve.
