This brief focuses on Tunisia's economic and political development since the Arab Spring in 2011. In the authors’ eyes, the country is indeed the poster child for the Arab Spring, primarily because it is the only Arab nation that succeeded in establishing political rights and democratic institutions. However, these achievements could be undermined by a lack of economic progress, which would then lower the odds of political and economic inclusiveness in other Arab countries.
