This paper argues that those who govern the Internet have given little thought to children’s rights, despite the growing demands to the contrary. That's because they've adopted governance regimes that are designed for “everyone,” despite the possibility that children have specific Internet-related needs and rights. The latter include child protection, ensuring children’s rights to access and use digital media, etc. The paper's authors conclude their assessment by providing recommendations on how to embed the recognition of children’s rights in the activities and policies of international Internet governance institutions.
