This commentary focuses on how the Internet is transforming global power dynamics. The text's author argues that Internet-based power poses a threat to the medium itself, primarily in two ways -- 1) via the theft of intellectual property, and 2) through cyber warfare and the resulting measures which states may be forced to take against each other. Finally, the author opines that the G-20 should be in a better position to counter economic cyber espionage, primarily by bringing together key states, the private sector and civil society.
