This paper argues that climate change policies, if they are to account for and respect human rights, must use rights-centered language to promote their agendas. To support his claim, the paper’s author 1) examines the challenges of integrating human rights principles into climate change actions, and 2) provides examples of national, subnational and corporate climate change policies to show how they have either managed or failed to enshrine human rights principles within their texts.
