This commentary explores the tactical changes in South Korea’s foreign policy towards China, which could be seen as examples of “repositioning, drift or outreach.” Regardless of how one sees the adjustments, the ROK-US Alliance will continue to be the bedrock of ROK foreign policy. Indeed, it’s inconceivable that South Korea will fall into China’s orbit anytime soon.
