This brief’s authors argue that International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and International Human Rights Law (IHRL) should be integrated into all international military engagements, especially at the beginning. To make this happen, the authors believe promoting IHL and IHRL capacity-building should become a common Nordic priority, as should providing directives, requirements, and necessary training.
