This bulletin contends that the poor state of the Finnish economy will eventually provoke a referendum on whether the country should abandon the Euro or not. The text’s author further explains that although the currency union continues to lack needed monetary policy tools, it’s not responsible for Finland’s recent recession. Further, there is no guarantee that re-adopting a national currency will lead to the recovery of the Finnish economy.
