This commentary wonders whether Turkey will actually honor its agreement with the EU to help alleviate the current refugee crisis. To that end, the text’s author 1) overviews the refugee problem within Turkey; 2) the costs and political burdens placed on the country as a result of the crisis; and 3) the political dimensions of Turkish law, as they apply to asylum seekers and aliens.
