This paper analyzes the specific strategies that were and have been pursued by the Mubarak and al Sisi regimes towards Egypt's youths. Yes, the policies were and are designed to either limit or prevent young people from truly empowering themselves in this pivotal Middle Eastern state, both economically and politically.
