This report looks at the increase in US liquefied natural gas (LNG) production and the positive effects it will have on global gas competition, supplies and security in the coming years. In particular, the text’s author examines 1) America's competitiveness in the international LNG market; 2) the opportunities for US LNG exporters in EU markets; and 3) some of the safety and security issues surrounding this energy source.
