his brief explains why Iran’s Parliament and Assembly of Experts are not as meaningful as the international press wants them to be. As things now stand in the country, the Parliament is likely to remain indecisive and the Assembly will merely rubber stamp the country's next Supreme Leader. Indeed, the latter decision will be made by leaders of the Revolutionary Guards and conservative clerics.
