24 Feb 2016
Taking February 24, 2016 as a starting point, this backgrounder looks at the most likely and most dangerous courses of action available to the Assad regime and its allies over the next three months, particularly when it comes to dealing with rebel factions and the so-called Islamic State in Northern Syria. The text’s authors also briefly comment on the impact the actions could have on the US’ and Russia’s role in the country, and on Turkish-Kurdish relations.
