This issue of the CAD features three articles that focus on religious minorities in the South Caucasus region. The first one examines the Slavic-Orthodox community in Azerbaijan and its ageing ethnic-demographic base. The second article argues that since the 1990s the Yezidi community in the Southern Caucasus area has crafted a more pronounced identity for itself via several means. The last article reviews the different Muslim groups – Azeri, Adjarians and Kist – that live in Georgia and discusses their current socio-economic status within the country.
