This analysis looks at the recent revitalization of Turkish-EU relations, which has been facilitated by the ongoing regional migration crisis. The text's authors specifically focus on 1) the November 2015 and March 2016 Turkey-EU summits, including the commitments that followed in their wake; 2) the opening up of new chapters in Turkey’s EU accession process and whether Cyprus will ultimately permit the process to move forward; 3) the prospects for visa-free travel for Turkish nationals; and 4) the debate over how much financial assistance Ankara should get as part of the migration deal.
