This paper argues that Tunisia’s youth must be empowered if the country hopes to sustain its uncertain lurch towards democracy. Given the critical role the nation’s young people played in the Jasmine Revolution, their marginalization could jeopardize the socio-political progress that has been made thus far. The paper also lays out what the EU can do to facilitate the future fortunes of this key demographic.
