This paper examines the prevailing practice of undisclosed cooperation between Israel and the Gulf States. In particular, the author highlights that the two key factors behind recent Israeli-Arab rapprochement are 1) the regional instability that followed the Arab Spring; and 2) the resurgence of Iran's influence in the Middle East. He also notes that while the Arab states are able to maintain pragmatic cooperation with Israel, the unresolved Israeli-Palestinian conflict prevents the possibility of truly normalized relations.
