This paper examines the antiwar movement that emerged following the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 and the subsequent US military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. The report identifies some of the most prominent coalitions and individuals and describes their objectives and activities. It also tracks major developments in the antiwar movement, beginning with the protests in Washington and San Francisco in October 2002 and ending with preparations for the international candlelight vigil in March 2003.
