Publication

Jun 2003

This publication examines the world's finite water resources. First, it provides an overview of key issues such as access to water, sanitation, privatization or trade agreements. The author then outlines the main actors in the field before outlining the debate between financial institutions and civil society. The core of this report constitutes a discussion of NGO perspectives, initiatives and activities, and a case study on the water war in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The report finishes with an outlook on the future of water.
