This paper first links two trends in American domestic political culture – the narratives of decline and the widespread revival of religiosity – to a larger analysis of how the Trump administration is trying to shape the US’ involvement on the world stage. The text's authors then highlight the politico-cultural tools Trump’s staff is relying upon in order to navigate an increasingly fractured domestic political landscape.
