This paper assesses the implications of the Iraq war and US security policy on communities in and around Baghdad, on the US troops themselves, and on the security situation in the country as a whole. The study also discusses the paramilitary opposition Britain and the US have faced in Iraq and the contradicting nature of the declaration of victory in Iraq.
